On the train (National Express trains = free wifi!) back from Newcastle (great town for a night out!) after UFC 80. Fight night was excellent, if a bit short on providing for the togs - of the nine bouts, four ended in the first round, and only two went the full distance. But, lots of KOs and lots of striking, so not too bad.
The only real problem I had all night was a (personally) really bad call by the ref to end Colin Robinson's fight at 0.17 of the first round... So not too many shots of Big C in action, which isn't great, seeing as he was the reason I was there!
Newcastle is an awesome town for a night out! Lots of rocking clubs and pubs (Revolution next to the train station do excellent cocktails!) - we ended up in a club called Blu Bamboo on Friday with Michael Bisping, and then the afterparty in the Hilton on Saturday.
Apart from the UFC, not much has been happening photography wise. I've entered a few competitions recently, including the Scottish Press Photography Awards, so we'll see how that goes - I've never entered photography competitions before.
Discovered from my lecturer that we start forensic photography in a month on the course, which I can't wait for!! Should be great, and it's something I'm considering specialising in.
